Violin Concerto

I heard the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto last night and wondered if the theme of the second movement had a Jewish origin. Thanks

There's nothing in the known history of the work that would suggest that, although Tchaikovsky was attentive to folk tunes that he heard in Russia and on his travels abroad.
