Souvenir de Florence
I am a bassist playing Souvenir de Florence in a small chamber
ensemble, and I was wondering if there are usually modifications to the
Cello 2 part when it is played on bass. A few of the orchestral recordings
I have listened to make it sound like there are multiple parts when the
bass will only play the downbeat or strong beats in a measure; this is
often the standard procedure for clarity's sake. I have not been able to
find a score of the orchestral arrangement of this piece, and would
appreciate any input.
