4th Symphony as music to which of his operas?

Recently I heard an old Phantom of the Opera movie. Near the end, the conductor was supposed to open the concert with an overture--but it was the First Movement of the 4th Symphony. During the opera, much of the 4th's music was being played. If that was "for real" what opera is based on the 4th symphony? Anyone?????? Thanks.

None of the music from Tchaikovsky's fourth symphony appears in his operas, so it sounds like a touch of artistic licence on the part of the filmmakers.
