Tchaikovsky Meta-Symphonic Works

I recently ran across some research suggesting that Tchaikovsky's last 3 symphonies (4th, 5th, and 6th) were connected in a meta-symphonic fashion, especially harmonically with the use of tritones. I was just curious on what the community thought about this. I'm currently writing a research paper on the topic, so if anyone had any other information, I'd be ecstatic! Thanks!
