This was the same approach under the Soviet regime...keep the sexual aspect well hidden...but there was no problem spreading conspiracy theories about his death...note the film.."Tchaikovsky" put out in 1970 ...no allusion to his sexual outlook at all...so it seems they cannot bear to have its icons besmirched with views they find objectionable..now due to the persuasions of an American religious bigot the Russian bureaucracy has forbidden for American gay couples from coming to Russia to adopt children...something which this religious bigot was unable to accomplish here in the States...
