Aleksandra Aleksandrova-KochetovaAleksandra Dorimedontovna Aleksandrova-Kochetova (Александра Дормидоитовна Александрова-Кочетова), was a Russian soprano, born Aleksandra Kochetova (Кочетова) in 1833. From 1866 to 1878 she was an artist at the Bol'shoi Theatre in Moscow, and was a fellow professor with Tchaikovsky at the Moscow Conservatory (1866-1880). She became one of the first performers of the composer's works, and in 1869 Tchaikovsky dedicated to her his romance Bitterly and Sweetly (No.3 of the Six Romances, Op. 6). Aleksandra Aleksandrova-Kochetova died in 1903. |
