Hugo Bock
German music publisher (b. 25 July 1848 in Berlin; d. 12 March 1932 in Berlin).
In 1871 Bock inherited the Berlin music publishing firm founded by his father Gustav Bock (1813–1863) and Eduard Bote. The firm of Bote & Bock published the score of Tchaikovsky's overture-fantasia Romeo and Juliet in 1871, at the instigation of Nikolay Rubinstein. Tchaikovsky was acquainted with Hugo Bock, and some correspondence between the two men has survived.
