Pavel BorisovPavel Borisovich Borisov (Павел Борисович Борисов), was a Russian baritone, born in 1850. In 1876 he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, and gave recitals in Khar'kov, Kiev, Odessa and other Russian cities, as well as in England and Italy. From 1882 he was an artist at the Bol'shoi Theatre in Moscow, where he premiered the role of Kochubei in Tchaikovsky's Mazepa in 1884. After 1894 he moved to Odesa, where he taught singing classes. Pavel Borisov died in 1904. |
