Iuliian PoplavskiiIuliian Ignat'evich Poplavskii (Юлиян Игнатьевич Поплавский), or Julian Poplavsky, was a Russian cellist and writer, born in 1871. In the early 1890s Poplavsky studied the cello at the Moscow Conservatory under Alfred von Glenn. He was a guest at the composer's home shortly before his death in October 1893, and subsequently wrote an account of "Tchaikovsky's Last Days at Klin". Iuliian Poplavskii died in 1958. |
