Vladimir TchaikovskyArmy officer and paternal uncle of the composer (b. 1793; d. 1850), born Vladimir Petrovich Tchaikovsky (Владимир Петрович Чайковский, Vladimir Petrovič Čajkovskij, Vladimir Petrovich Tchaikovsky). Vladimir was the ninth child of the composer's grandparents Petr Fedorovich Tchaikovsky (1745–1818) and his wife Anastasiia (b. Posokhova, 1751–?). He became an army officer, later Governor of Okhansk (near Perm'), and married Mariia Petrovna Kamenskaia (d. 1842), by whom he had four children: Nikolai (1828–?), Boris (ca.1831–1893), Petr (1833–?), and Lidiia (1836–1892). |
