Le Havre
Le Havre is a port city in the Seine-Maritime department and Haute-Normandie region of France.
Tchaikovsky arrived in Le Havre on 5/17 April 1891, and travelled straight from the railway station to his cabin on the steamship La Bretagne, which was waiting at the port. At five o'clock the following morning he set sail for America, arriving in New York on 14/26 April.
